In Khozrevanidze’s Clinic  pediatric Orthopedist-Traumatologist services are available both in out-patient and hospital sectors.

Orthopedics derived from the ancient Greek words: ὀρθός ("correct", "straight") and παιδίον ("child"). It is  a branch of medicine focused on prevention, diagnostics and treatment of congenital and acquired defects of musculoskeletal, muscle, tendinous and ligamentous apparatus, such as coxofemoral joint dysplasia , which diagnostics shall be provided in the period of delivery, in the obstetrical unit. The scheduled visits shall be provided at the age of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. The diagnosis shall be confirmed clinically, resulted examination of Orthopedist, ultrasound and X-rays examinations.

Proceeding from the  peculiarities of musculoskeletal system, it may injure resulted various kinds of trauma. Especially high is children’s traumatism in the spring and summer seasons, when their physical activity rises. If your child has edematous extremities or limited in movements, you should visit Traumatologist to rule out displacements, subperiostal fractures.
