The clinic's cardiology service provides the prevention and timely diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and the development of an individual treatment plan. Both outpatient investigations and inpatient cardiology care are available to patients.
Our services
Cardiologist consultation
A comprehensive assessment of the health of the heart and the blood vessels, analysis of the complaints and the risk factors, and determination of the necessary investigations and the treatment plan.
Electrocardiography – ECG
A rapid and non-invasive examination of the electrical activity of the heart, used to assess the heart rhythm, conduction and various cardiac changes.
Ultrasound of the heart – echocardiography
Ultrasound assessment of the chambers, the valves and the walls of the heart and of contractile function. The examination provides the doctor with detailed information about the structural and functional condition of the heart.
Ultrasound and Doppler echocardiography
Doppler examination assesses the direction and speed of blood flow in the chambers and valves of the heart. By this means it is possible to detect valvular pathologies and disturbances of blood flow.
Stress echocardiography
Assessment of the work of the heart under physical exertion or a special stress protocol. The examination is used to detect changes that may not be apparent at rest.
Transoesophageal echocardiography
A specialised ultrasound examination of the heart, during which the probe is placed close to the heart by way of the oesophagus. The method provides particularly detailed visualisation of the heart valves and other structures.
24-hour Holter ECG monitoring
Continuous recording of the electrical activity of the heart during everyday activity and sleep. The examination is particularly informative for detecting intermittent arrhythmias, episodes of rapid heartbeat and other transient disturbances.
24-hour blood pressure monitoring
Automatic measurement of arterial blood pressure over 24 hours, during the patient's usual routine. The examination assesses the daytime and night-time dynamics of blood pressure and helps the doctor to determine the strategy for managing hypertension.
Exercise stress test
Assessment of the work of the heart, the rhythm and the blood pressure against a background of gradually increasing physical exertion. The test is used to assess exercise tolerance and possible signs of ischaemic changes in the heart.
Doppler ultrasound of the peripheral vessels
Ultrasound examination of the vessels of the limbs and other peripheral vessels, to assess blood flow, the patency of the vessels and possible narrowing.
Cardiological laboratory tests
The laboratory investigations required for the diagnosis and monitoring of cardiac problems are available at the clinic. The list of investigations is determined according to the patient's condition and the cardiologist's recommendation.
Inpatient cardiology care
Where necessary, the patient is provided with inpatient monitoring, additional investigations and the appropriate treatment. A qualified medical team takes part in the management of the condition.
When should you consult a cardiologist?
A cardiologist's consultation is recommended in cases of chest pain, breathlessness, a rapid or irregular heartbeat, raised blood pressure, dizziness, weakness, swelling of the limbs and intolerance of physical exertion.
A preventive assessment is particularly important for those who have diabetes mellitus, high cholesterol, excess weight, a history of tobacco use or a family history of cardiovascular disease.
Our approach
Comprehensive diagnostics
The combination of the consultation and instrumental and laboratory investigations makes it possible to assess the condition of the heart thoroughly.
An individual plan of action
The strategy for investigation and treatment is selected taking into account the patient's age, complaints, concomitant diseases and risk factors.
Outpatient and inpatient care
The patient may receive both planned diagnostic services and, as required, inpatient monitoring and treatment.
Book a cardiologist's consultation
The specialist will assess your condition, determine the necessary investigations and develop an individual plan for prevention, treatment and subsequent monitoring.
